Senior Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Four Waters Engineering, Inc. (4Waters) is looking for a skilled, motivated Senior Level Engineer to join our team in Jacksonville Beach. Candidates should have experience in the planning, analysis, design, permitting, and construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure, particularly treatment plants, for municipal, government, and private clients. We’re looking for a trusted professional who values honesty, integrity, respect, a strong work ethic, and superior client service.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering—specifically treatment facilities
  • Bachelor’s level degree in related engineering field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Florida

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Project Management experience working with clients and subconsultants, developing and managing budgets, technical writing/reports, and developing and reviewing project schedules.
  • Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentations experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task several assignments and/or deliverables.

 

Position Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Serve as Project Engineer or Project Manager, coordinate and perform all design aspects for water and wastewater treatment facility projects, including plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.
  • Prepare proposal scope, cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules.
  • Assist in the completion and execution of several varied assignments simultaneously.
  • Perform internal QA/QC for design.
  • Guide the work and effort of CAD and EIT staff.
  • Interact with clients, staff, permitting agencies, consulting firms, and other stakeholders in the execution of engineering projects.
  • Develop and manage client relationships and work closely with clients to determine needs and provide solutions.
  • Prepare and negotiate contract and subcontract documents, and review and authorize change orders.
  • Participate in the development of identifying and winning opportunities by working directly with clients and marketing staff.
  • Engage in active membership in state, regional and national professional associations.
