Water/Wastewater Engineering Region (Southeastern) Leader

Summary

Four Waters Engineering, Inc. is in search of an engineering professional with proven technical and project management expertise who desires to take a leadership role in building a municipal water, wastewater and water resources practice in the Southeastern region. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing engineering firm with a competitive salary and bonus structure along with great benefits such as 401k, profit sharing, healthcare, short and long term insurance, life insurance, 16 days of PTO, and 8 holidays.  The position will have support from the Jacksonville Beach office with regard to marketing, CAD, professional engineers, modelers, engineering assistance, business assistance and other necessary support.

Responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and directing all projects, activities, and personnel for the designated regional office. The position will focus heavily on overseeing companywide water and wastewater treatment design projects, in addition to creating and implementing business development strategies, forecasting sales and managing financial and operational processes within the regional office.

Candidate must be willing and able to assist with growing the regional presence of an expanding civil and environmental engineering firm.

Qualifications

  • Licensed or have the ability to become licensed as a Professional Engineer in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and Georgia.
  • Possess good communication and leadership skills.
  • Have 15+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment engineering including design, permitting and construction.
  • Have experience with different regulatory and permitting processes as required by the local agencies having jurisdiction in the region.
  • Possess experience with preparing proposals, contracts and developing client relations.
  • Ability and desire to manage a group of support staff in a positive and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

Office Manager/Administrative

  • Recruit, manage and mentor a team of technical professionals.
  • Coordinate personnel and workload delegation.
  • Coordinate with staff in other regions to support water, wastewater projects throughout the Company.
  • Participate in regional business development which involves attendance at marketing functions, business events, and cross marketing with other disciplines.
  • Develop, monitor, and execute strategic growth plans for the region.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, invoicing clients, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
  • Serve as the lead regional point of contact for clients.

 

Engineering Related 

  • Identify, develop, maintain and manage a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Have high level authority on a wide variety of projects throughout the region.
  • Direct the engineering of water/wastewater control, treatment, and distribution projects.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
