Environmental Field Specialist/Technician
This position offers the opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team supporting stormwater, environmental, and infrastructure projects for municipal, federal, and military clients. Assignments are field-based with frequent travel, concentrated in Florida, the Southeast, and Texas.
Successful candidate will have the following:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field preferred
- Interest in environmental, stormwater, or infrastructure field work
- Comfortable using tablets, GPS/GNSS equipment, and mobile GIS applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document field observations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently, including overnight and multi-day trips
Responsibilities:
- Perform field investigations in support of stormwater and other water resource studies, including illicit discharge detection, system mapping, dye testing, and flow tracing.
- Locate and document stormwater, water, sewer, and other utility structures and infrastructure using GPS/GNSS and mobile GIS tools.
- Collect photographs, measurements, and field observations, and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Assist with field summaries, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Interact with clients, teaming partners, and facility personnel while following site safety and access requirements.
