We're proud to share that our own Laura Constantino authored the Featured Article in the FLURISA (Florida Urban and Regional Information Systems Association) August 2016 Newsletter. The article focuses on a project led by Ms. Constantino, a GIS Inventory and asset management tool for the stormwater management system at the Dunes West development in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Heavy rains overwhelm aging infrastructure in Florida

One of the most common issues related to aging and overburdened sanitary sewer infrastructure is broken, blocked, or overwhelmed combined sewer pipes causing systems to overflow during wet weather events. This can result in discharge of raw (untreated) sewage into local waterways.
