The initial project included preparation of a design basis report with a 30% conceptual design for the watermain replacement via horizontal directional drill (HDD), 30% conceptual design for the watermain replacement via pipe support structures, anticipated permitting (FDOT, USACE, FDEP), an opinion of probable construction costs, installation risks, and recommendation of installation method.
Based on this analysis, 4Waters provided design, permitting, bidding and construction administration services for the replacement of the ~900 LF of 18-inch HDPE water main below the San Sebastian River by horizontal directional drilling.
